The WPU VR Welcome Center is a project create for William Peace University's (WPU) marketing department so that they can show off not only the skills of their students, but also gain the interest of potential students and help inform them about the university. Our goal for this project was to recreate our Welcome Center in a Virtual Space and provide a variety of interactions that the user could play with and learn more about the college. My role was a General Programmer working with Adam Lembo to create interactions, functionality, and make sure everything worked accordingly. Along with this, I helped plot out the game-play design and did a lot of the set-up and then programming for the U.I. for the game. Once the Spring semester ended, Adam and I were hired on as Interns over the Summer to continue to work on and help finalize the project by WPU. Down below are videos of the VR Project as well as a presentation Adam and I did with Jennifer Suarez who was our client and the one who spear-headed us students being able to work with the marketing department.
